Manage Cookies in Mozilla FireFox Browser

This tutorial covers how to manage cookie settings in Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7. Learn how to manage cookies site by site, how to view or remove cookies and how to set your cookie privacy level.

Managing Cookies Site By Site

To control cookies on a site by site basis click on "Tools" and choose "Options". Then choose "Privacy" from the top of the Options window (Options screenshot) , click the "Exceptions" button next to "Allow sites to set cookies" to open the "Exceptions- Cookies" window (Exceptions screenshot). In the Exceptions window you can specify which web sites are always allowed to use cookies or never allowed to use cookies.

Enable Firefox Cookie Settings

You can specify how to handle cookies by setting your Cookies preferences. The default setting is "Allow sites to set Cookies". To change your Cookies preferences open the "Tools" menu and choose "Options". Under the "Privacy" category (Options screenshot), click the "Cookies" tab. Select your preferences and click OK.

How to View or Remove Cookies

To view the details for stored cookies click "Tools" and choose "Options". Under the "Privacy" category, click the "Cookies" tab. Select "View Cookies" and the Cookie Manager will open with a list of all stored cookies on your computer. To view details for a particular cookie, "click a cookie" and look at the "Information about the selected Cookie" below.

To remove a particular cookie, "click a cookie" and select "Remove Cookie". To remove all cookies select "Remove All Cookies" (Cookie Manager Screenshot).
