Deleting a Program in Windows XP
If you are doing a little house cleaning in your PC and trying to free up a little space by deleting some unused programs. Be sure to delete them using the programs uninstall method. You can find the programs uninstallation link by going to:
1. Start>> All Programs.
2. Search the programs for the one that you would like to delete. Hover your mouse cursor over the programs name. You should now see a list of "clickable" options pertaining to the program (See Figure #1).

3. Once you click the programs uninstall link, it will activate the programs
uninstallation utility. Follow the onscreen instructions for uninstalling
this program.
Note: If you receive a prompt asking if you would like to delete all
"Shared" files. Select the "No to all" option. Shared files are files that
are shared by another program or programs in an effort to save space on your
hard drive. If you delete the shared files, you could disable other programs
that are using these files to function.
4. If there isn't an uninstall option available via "All Programs" then you
are forced to use Windows XP's uninstallation method. Here's how:
5. Go to Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove Programs.
6. Once the list populates, scroll the list to find the program that you
would like to remove.
7. Click the program and click the "Change/Remove" button (See Figure #2).

8. Once the Change/Remove button is clicked, Windows XP's uninstallation
utility will begin removing the program. Follow all onscreen prompts to
successfully remove the program from your machine.
